Gujo Hachiman is a small and pleasant little town known for its picturesque castle, quiet streets and waterways with koi. A range of accommodation is available around the town including large hotels and traditional guesthouses. While Gujo is usually quiet through the week, it is a popular destination for Japanese on weekends and public holidays. Summer in particular is busy as a month-long festival coincides with Japanese school holidays, so make sure to book well in advance.
