Book a Private Nakasendo Tour

For guests wanting to visit the Nakasendo and Kiso Valley in the comfort of their own vehicle and accompanied by their own guide, we can arrange private charters customised to fit your needs, starting and ending at any destination.

Locally-based and operating all year round, we have the expertise and experience to help you get the most out of your time in the region, including lunch at local restaurants and accommodation at a ‘ryokan’ (traditional guesthouse), where you can enjoy Japan’s renowned attention to service and local cuisine.

Our drivers and vehicles are fully certified, allowing us to transport you to and from your preferred destinations, in combination with any activity that suits your interests and schedule.

For guests wanting to walk the Nakasendo, we can arrange visits to the popular post towns including Magome, Tsumago and Narai with guided walks between the destinations. While walking, your vehicle and driver will transport luggage ahead to your next guesthouse.

Booking a private tour allows for the flexibility needed to combine your walk on the Nakasendo with any of the many attractions and experiences available in Kiso Valley. So whether you want to ride the Akasawa and Otaki Forest Railways, explore the region’s beautiful gorges, or climb Mt Ontake, we can arrange it for you.

We can arrange both private tours with an English-speaking guide or a private charter, including a private vehicle and driver but without a guide.

Walking the Nakasendo Trail and discovering the beauty and tradition of the Kiso Valley is one of the best experiences in Central Japan. We’d love to help you discover even more!
