How to Get to Hotel Sunny Shiga

With a bus stop located directly in front of the hotel, Hotel Sunny Shiga is easily accessible for guests traveling by public transportation. Whether you're arriving at the resort or exploring the area using the convenient daytime shuttle service around Shiga Kogen, getting around is simple and stress-free.

Most visitors reach Shiga Kogen via Nagano Station, which serves as the main transit hub for the area. During the winter season, the Nagaden Express Bus offers regular, comfortable service to the resort. Buses depart from Bus Stop No.23, located outside the station’s East Exit. Tickets can be purchased directly from the driver on board. For Hotel Sunny Shiga, disembark at the Takamagahara bus stop—an approximately 80-minute ride through scenic mountain terrain.

In winter, regular local buses run from Yudanaka Station – the nearest train station to Shiga Kogen and the Jigokudani Monkey Park – and within the resort itself. For visitors coming from Nagano Station, the Nagaden train line takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Yudanaka. From there, board a local bus service headed for Shiga Kogen and disembark at the Takamagahara bus stop – approximately 45 minutes.

From Yudanaka Station, taxis are also available to make the journey to Sunny Shiga. A one-way fare from the station to the hotel will typically cost around JPY6500-7000. For guests coming to the hotel using their own car, Sunny Shiga offers free parking to guests.
