World Peace Kannon

World Peace Kannon

The Sekai Heiwa Kannon (World Peace Buddha Statue) is 25 meters tall and is set upon a hill overlooking the town of Yudanaka. This bronze female statue is dedicated to world peace and is found on the site of the Daihiden Temple. Next to the temple is a huge bell tower which you can ring to ask for world peace. The sounds of the bell resounds all throughout town.

From Yudanaka Station:Get out of Yudanaka Station and turn to the left. Take the second street to the right and walk in a straight line for 15 minutes. You'll see stairs with iron bows on your left-hand side. Walk up these stairs and you'll get to the temple.
