Snow mobiles are often used in Shiga Kogen's heavy-snow area for patrolling up in the mountains or for rescue purposes. The snow mobile is also used in a different, more entertaining way: for outdoor sport activities. The rides are available for single or tandem ride and for all ages. No driver's license is required, so it is an easy, exciting activity where you get to enjoy racing through nature. Riding the snow mobile can be done in Shiga Kogen Ski Resort at the foot of Yakebitai Mountain area.
While we can no longer offer the snowmobile experience in Shiga Kogen, we offer a Snow Fun Tour that brings guests to the ski resorts of Shiga Kogen for a morning of playing in the snow, followed by a trip to the Snow Monkey Park!
