Transport to/from Shiga Kogen Yamanoeki

Most visitors heading to Shiga Kogen will do so from Nagano Station or nearby areas including Yamanouchi and the Jigokudani Monkey Park, or using express buses from further afield.

When doing so, the approach and arrival at the resort is from the west on Route 292 with the earliest ski fields including Sun Valley and Maruike followed by Hasuike.

Shiga Kogen Yamanoeki is located in the Hasuike area and as such, is the first and most convenient transport point visitors will come to.

With the introduction of the ‘Pulse Gondola’ – connecting the building to the ski fields of Giant and Hoppo Bundaira, Shiga Kogen Yamanoeki is now the resort’s most convenient launching point with the following transports running to and from it throughout the year:

Nagaden Express Bus

Operating from Bus Stop No.23 outside the East Exit of Nagano Station, the Nagaden Snow Monkey/Shiga Kogen Express Bus – top image – service is one of the most convenient ways to reach Shiga Kogen.
