Book a Sake Tasting Tour in Nagano

Our English-speaking guides will accompany to our recommendation or a brewery of your choice, starting with a guided tasting. Our drivers and vehicles are fully certified, allowing us to transport you to and from your preferred destinations, in combination with any activity that suits your interests and schedule.
Booking a private vehicle allows for the flexibility needed to visit a brewery or breweries of yoru choice in combination with any of the region’s attractions including Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, Kanazawa, Kamikochi, Matsumoto, Nagano, the Snow Monkey Park!
We can arrange both private tours with an English-speaking guide or a private charter, including a private vehicle and driver but without a guide.
For guests wanting to sample sake on a group tour, our 1-Day Snow Monkeys, Zenko-ji Temple & Sake Tour operates throughout the year and combines a morning visit to the temple with lunch and basic guided sake tasting experience, followed by a visit to the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park.
Starting and finishing at Nagano Station, your morning is spent exploring Nagano’s near-1400 year old Zenko-ji Temple before a guided sake tasting nearby. Your guide will introduce you to the basics of sake as you sample several varieties before heading to lunch at Monzen Terrace Enya*.
Once done, the tour heads onto the Jigokudani Monkey Park – home to Nagano’s famous troop of hot spring-bathing monkeys. Best known for their antics in the snow of winter, the monkeys come to the park all year round and cap-off these engaging one-day tour in Nagano
*This tour includes a guided tasting a local breweries tasting station in Nagano City but due to time constraints, does not visit the brewery itself. If you are interested in touring a sake brewery, please contact us and enquire about a private tour or charter. There may be occasional days when the lunch venue – Monzen Terrace Enya – is unavailable. On those rare occasions an alternative but comparable restaurant will be arranged.
