Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza
Located directly across from Karuizawa Station, the Prince Shopping Plaza boasts more than 200 stores along with numerous restaurants and parkland spread across 26-hectares. Many major fashion houses have outlet stores at the plaza, making it an immensely popular destination for both Japanese and international visitors.
Its proximity to the station means that the shopping plaza can be access immediately upon disembarking the shinkansen, allowing for easy daytrips to and from Tokyo, Nagano or Kanazawa. The shopping plaza also has parking for around 4000 vehicles and free shuttle bus running around the nearby vicinity. Open daily from 10:00 to 19:00 (extended to 21:00 somedays during the summer), Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza is always popular and can be extremely busy on weekends and public holidays.
