Originally constructed as a broadcasting tower for radio and TV in 1954, the 180 meter tower was the highest in Asia and was said to be the “Eiffel Tower of the East.” It quickly became one of the most recognizable landmarks of the city of Nagoya.




In 2020, the tower transitioned from a broadcasting station into a hotel. The TOWER HOTEL NAGOYA is a hotel located on the 4th and 5th floors of Mirai Tower. The modern, stylish rooms offer guests spectacular views of the city. Floors 1-3 house various shops and restaurants, while an observation deck towards the top of the tower offers 360 degree views of Nagoya.
The observation deck is open from 10:00-21:00 on weekdays and 10:00-21:40 on weekends and the night views from the tower are considered to be among the best in Japan.
