eTour de Matsumoto (Guided eBike Tours)

Matsumoto is a small but historic city ideally-suited to exploration on a bicycle. The creatively-named ‘eTour de Matsumoto’ allows visitors to do just that, with the choice of four, six and eight hour guided circuits in and around the city using ebikes to make the routes suitable to guests of all ages and levels of fitness.

Routes are modified to the interest and level of fitness of guests including:

4 Hour / Easy Circuit: takes you out of the city and into the surroundings of farmlands and along Susuki River before moving back in Matsumoto with its famous castle as the final destination (please note that this option does not include lunch).

6 Hour / Intermediate Circuit: takes you on a longer route outside of the city and along the Susuki River, before heading into the hot spring district of Asama Onsen for lunch, and then onto the apple orchards of rural Okada and returning to the city to explore the castle and surrounding historic streets.

8 Hour / Advanced Circuit: takes you even further outside the city to Mount Kobo before exploring the surrounding countryside and hot spring district of Asama Onsen (including a stop for lunch). After lunch, you’ll make your way upward to enjoy views of the city before returning to Matsumoto for a guided tour of its iconic castle and historic streets around it.
