Visitors intending to climb Mount Fuji can use the Fujikyuko Bus service from the station to head to the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station. Enroute the bus also stops at the 3rd and 4th stations. It is worth noting that the bus originates at nearby Mt. Fuji (Fujisan) Station and can be very busy, especially during the climbing season from July to September. To get a seat on the bus, it’s best to start from Mt. Fuji Station from where it takes around 60 minutes to reach the 5th station (or 50 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station).
A one-way journey costs around JPY1570 per adult or JPY2300 for a round-trip. Several sightseeing buses also operate from the station, carrying visitors to many nearby destinations. For further information, please refer to the Fujikyoko Bus website.

Given the proximity of Kawaguchiko to Mount Fuji, the area around the station and lake is home to many excellent hotels and guesthouses.
