As one of Japan's most profoundly significant cultural sites, Horyuji Temple houses the world's oldest surviving wooden structures and serves as the cradle of Japanese Buddhism. Founded in 607 by Prince Shotoku, this UNESCO World Heritage site protects a priceless treasury of early Buddhist art and architecture spanning over 1,400 years of history. Your guide will lead you around the grounds, sharing the interesting stories about Japan's ancient past.

Finished with the temple it will be lunch time! There are a few restaurants around the temple and station that your guide can recommend. Soba is one of the main dishes you can find at many of the places nearby.

After a full day of exploring temples and getting great views, it is time to head back. We will board the train together and make our way back toward Osaka, arriving at Osaka Station. Feel free to use the journey to chat with your guide about the day’s adventures, or simply close your eyes and relax on the smooth ride home!
