From there, you head into Endoji Shopping Street, a charming covered arcade that feels like stepping into a different era. Here, you experience one of Nagoya’s most beloved traditions: the “morning service” where your breakfast comes free with your coffee.
Next comes one of Nagoya’s most iconic landmarks, Nagoya Castle. The grounds are expansive, and the castle keep is striking, but the real highlight is Honmaru Palace. As you move through its rooms, the interiors become more elaborate, filled with gold accents and detailed artwork.
Near the castle, you’ll get a chance to try tebasaki, Nagoya’s famous chicken wings. Made from Nagoya’s special cochin chicken, the "wagyu of chicken," they are crispy, peppery, and slightly sweet. And once you try them, it becomes clear why they are such a local favorite.
The afternoon takes you through Hisaya Odori Park, a lively public space where you can relax, take photos, or simply enjoy the pace of the city. From there, you will continue to Osu Shopping District, one of the most vibrant areas in Nagoya.
Osu is full of personality. You will find everything from street food stalls to vintage shops and electronics stores. It is the perfect place to keep exploring Nagoya’s food culture. Here, you can sample tenmusu, a compact rice ball with crispy tempura inside, followed by miso-katsu, a rich and flavorful pork cutlet topped with a thick red miso sauce.
By the end of the day, you will have tried several local specialties while also seeing key parts of the city. More importantly, you will feel comfortable navigating Nagoya’s food scene on your own, thanks to the insight and recommendations from your guide.

Your first stop is the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. This museum offers a fascinating look at how Toyota began, starting with textile machinery before moving into automobiles. As you walk through the exhibits, you see real machines in action and learn how production methods have changed over time. Your guide helps explain what you are seeing, making the experience much more engaging and easier to follow.
From there, you walk to Noritake Garden. The atmosphere here is calm and beautifully designed, offering a nice contrast to the industrial setting of the previous stop.
