Experience a magical winter night at the foot of the Northern Alps. The "24th Dream Fireworks & Festival of Sound" (Yumehanabi to Oto no Saiten) will be held in Omachi Onsenkyo throughout February 2026.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the opening of Omachi Onsenkyo, and special anniversary events are planned alongside the traditional performances. Located just a 30-minute drive from the Hakuba area, it is a perfect evening getaway for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy Japanese culture and fireworks.
Highlights
- Dynamic Taiko Drumming & Fireworks: Every week features powerful performances by local Taiko groups, culminating in a spectacular firework display in the crisp winter sky.
- 60th Anniversary Special "Message Candle 60": To celebrate the 60th anniversary, a special candle event will be held from Feb 7th to Feb 21st.
- Complimentary Sake & Food Trucks: Enjoy "Omachi Sanzo" (local sake) served for free, and explore various food trucks offering warm meals and drinks from 18:00.
- Limited Edition Gift: The first 60 visitors each night will receive a commemorative "Tsunagu (bond) Towel" to mark the 60th anniversary.
- Sankuro (Bonfire Ritual): On the opening night (Feb 7th), witness the traditional "Sankuro" bonfire, a local ritual to pray for health and a good harvest, starting at 20:00.

- February 14th: Shinano-no-kuni Matsukawa Kyogaku Taiko and Fireworks.
- February 21st: Genryu Miasa Taiko and Fireworks.
- February 28th: Shinano-no-kuni Matsukawa Kyogaku Taiko and Fireworks.

- Parking: Available at the venue (Omachi Onsenkyo Tourism Association), but space is limited. Carpooling is encouraged.
Note: On February 7th, traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue from 18:00 to 21:30. Event details may change due to weather conditions.
