Big Hat Arena

Big Hat Arena

The distinctively named ‘Big Hat’ hosted ice hockey during the 1998 Winter Olympics. Today, the venue remains one of the busiest in Nagano City regularly hosting big events including music performances and large-scale conferences. Named after the large roof which some people say looks like a big hat – simple as that – the venue continues to host ice hockey and figure skating competitions in winter.
