Takaoka is a small city located nearby Toyama most famous for the Takaoka Great Buddha - one of Japan's three great Buddha statues - along with Zuiryuji Temple - an important and beautiful Zen Buddhist temple and the beautiful Amaharashi Coastline. The city has a range of accommodation options from where visitors can easily access these and other attractions. Located nearby the coast, the region is known for its outstanding seafood and provides easy access to Toyama, Kanazawa or north to the beautiful Noto Peninsula.
