Aburagibirin Forest

For more than 300 years, the trees of Aburagibirin Forest have been protected and cannot be logged. Thanks to this protection, immense trees now populate the forest including Japanese cypress, sawara cypress, Japann Thuja and more. Walking trails lead through the forest, leading visitors through the beautiful forest an onto pristine rivers and gushing waterfall. Also known as an excellent area for birdwatching, Aburagibirin Forest is somewhat off the beaten path but well-worth making the effort to get to.
