Enroute from Tokyo to Osaka, all services on the Tokaido line stop at Nagoya Station. As the largest city in Central Japan, Nagoya is a convenient station to disembark the shinkansen and transfer to other lines running to regional destinations including the Kiso Valley and Nakasendo, the Kii Peninsula and beyond. TIMETABLE FROM TOKYO TO OSAKA

Frequent services run from Tokyo to Osaka and the reverse journey of Osaka to Tokyo, with all trains stopping at Kyoto and Nagoya. For details, refer to the following page for the Tokaido Shinkansen timetable.

The earliest service from Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station departs at 06:00 and stops at Nagoya at 07:35, Kyoto at 08:09 and reaches Shin-Osaka Station at 08:24.

The last service from Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station departs at 21:24 and stops at Nagoya at 22:58, Kyoto at 23:32 and reaches Shin-Osaka Station at 23:45.

Services from Osaka to Tokyo are just as regular, with all trains stopping at Kyoto and Nagoya. For details, refer to the following page for the Tokaido Shinkansen timetable.

The earliest service from Shin-Osaka Station to Tokyo Station, departs at 06:00 and stops at Kyoto at 06:14, Nagoya at 06:49 and reaches Tokyo Station at 08:23. 

The last service from Shin-Osaka Station to Tokyo Station departs at 21:24 and stops at Kyoto at 21:38, Nagoya at 22:12 and reaches Tokyo Station at 23:45. There are also two later services departing Shin-Osaka at terminating at Nagoya Station. The last of those services departs Shin-Osaka Station at 22:30 and stops at Kyoto at 22:46 before terminating at Nagoya Station at 23:20.

Running from Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station, the Tokaido Shinkansen stops at the following stations:

*Please note, Nagano Station is not a stop on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line however it is a stop on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line, which runs from Tokyo Station to Kanazawa Station.
