Matsumoto Bon Bon is a music festival where various groups of locals come together and dance through the streets of Matsumoto on the first Saturday of August. The dance performed is a very easy dance to learn for those interested and gets repeated for up to 4-5 hours with a few 15 minute breaks in between. If you find a group with some foreigners, or get invited by Japanese people, it is highly recommended to join in on the fun. Don’t worry about the dance steps, even someone with two left feet will be a master in no time. It is all about having fun, and nothing more!
