Looking for information and updates about the impact of COVID-19 in Japan? Our ‘Clean Green & Healthy’ page includes a dedicated ‘COVID-19 Update’ page which we update each week or whenever major developments take place. That page has just been updated for Monday 2nd November 2020.
This section of our website includes the following pages:
1 / COVID-19 Update
2 / Traveling To/From Japan During COVID-19
3 / Traveling Inside Japan During COVID-19
4 / Healthcare & Assistance in Japan
In addition, we also provide information about heading to our home region of Central Japan, recommended outdoor destinations, choosing your accommodation, tours and charters, and current deals on offer.
As of November 2nd 2020, Japan is reporting:
Total recorded infections: 103,293
Total recorded deaths: 1794
Nagano Prefecture: 10 active cases
While travel remains restricted at this time, we hope the situation will soon improve and all of this information is of assistance in planning your next visit to Central Japan.
Nov 2 2020: nationals of 11 countries – including Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam – will no longer need to be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival in Japan, so long as they have not traveled outside of their home country in the past 14 days. It is hoped that this with streamline the arrival process in anticipation of further easing of restrictions in coming months.
Oct 22 2020: the government is considering allowing short-term business travelers – up to 72 hours – from countries with ‘deep economic ties’ to Japan to enter from November onward. This would include nationals of China, South Korea and Taiwan in a step mirroring recent agreements with Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam under the ‘business track’. Once the agreement is confirmed, we will update this page.
