If you’re in need of accommodation in Nagano City and want a hotel that conveniently located, Hotel Kokusai 21 is a recommendation. A member of staff will be waiting for you at the Information Board across from the Shinkansen exit gates (next to Beck’s Coffee).
If you want to make your way back to the station from the hotel, all you need to do is to inquire at the front desk and they will reserve a shuttle for you.
