Most of Japan have now seen the last of the sakura blossoms. The cherry flowers in places like Tokyo and Kyoto have fallen from the trees. The trees in Yamanouchi (also known as the snow monkey area) however, have only just begun blossoming. Due to the high altitude, blossom viewing season is expected to start in about a week, around the end of April. The trees here are still budding but will soon show the first light pink flowers.

The flowers on the trees have just started blooming in Yamanouchi, the town closest to the Snow Monkey Park.
