The month August has started and the heat is still continuing. Slowly but surely though, the temperature is going down and becoming more comfortable. The monkeys now sometimes dare to go from their safe shadowed spot and get into the sunshine. This makes monkey portraits all the more easy. See the below photos for some of our favorite macaques!
The monkey of the photo below was just sitting in the middle of the path, just watching people walk around. Still young, this monkey was curiously watching all the excitement of the humans in the park.
The monkey in the photos below was had made the hand railing his home. He was sitting there for about two hours eating leaves until the park rangers starting throwing barley around. He then left his beloved railing for the ground to get his fill of barley.
Like the monkey above, this monkey was in the sun, chilling on the railing. He/she wasn’t worried about falling off at all, even falling asleep.
The last monkey in our portrait blog is this adorable one. He stayed in the shade on the ground, eating all the greens he could find. He must have been hungry because he was snacking away for what seemed like hours.
If you’d like to see these monkeys in real life, you can find more information about access and the Snow Monkey Park here. If you’d like to get taken to the park, find your way to the park and other destinations via one of the various tours.
